The Senior Creative Director – Brand Experience & Activations leads the creative vision and narrative development of brand-led experiences, translating strategic intent into culturally relevant, high-impact concepts across live, spatial, and campaign ecosystems. You sit at the intersection of brand storytelling, experiential design, and campaign thinking, ensuring every project moves beyond the notion of an event into owned brand experience territory. You own the idea, not the delivery, and partner closely with production and design teams to shape narrative platforms that scale. This is a senior leadership position that shapes both the work and the creative culture of the studio.
Creative Direction and Concept Leadership
• Own creative direction from brief through concept to pitch
• Translate brand strategy into experience-first ideas, not format-driven thinking
• Lead concept development across live activations, pop-ups, spatial environments, festival platforms, and hybrid campaigns
• Define the big idea plus execution logic with clear narrative spine and sharp strategic articulation
• Set and maintain creative standards and push ideas from good execution into distinctive, owned work
Brand Narrative and Campaign Strategy
• Develop narrative territories that scale across physical experiences, content channels, and multi-market rollouts
• Build campaign ideas that connect to brand pillars and cultural moments; ensure work is never a one-off
• Bring cultural references from fashion, music, art, and digital culture. Ensure work feels current and aspirational
Pitch Leadership and Client Engagement
• Lead or co-lead key pitches
• Shape story flow, concept articulation, and presentation tone
• Win work through creative thinking quality and originality, not just execution delivery
Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work closely with Strategy, Spatial/Design, Production, and Account teams in fluid, non-linear workflows
• Translate conceptual thinking into physical form by guiding design and production teams, ensuring ideas remain high-impact and buildable
• Balance creative ambition with production feasibility, pushing back constructively when ideas are at risk without compromising vision
• Build and maintain creative standards across the organization through mentorship, feedback, and cultural leadership
What this role is not
• Not a pure advertising Creative Director (too focused on campaign-only thinking; this role owns experience platforms)
• Not a production-led creative role (too execution-focused; this role owns the idea and strategic thinking)
• Not a visual designer or Art Director only (those skills are table stakes; the real value is in strategic concept thinking)
• Not a Creative Ops role (does not manage workflows or team scheduling; leads creative thinking and standards)
• 10+ years of experience in experiential agencies, brand activation agencies, or hybrid creative agencies
• Proven work across global brands, large-scale activations, and campaign-led experiences at the concept stage
• Strong concept thinker who prioritizes ideas and strategic thinking over pure aesthetics
• Deep experience building brand worlds and platforms (not one-off executions)
• Proven ability to connect strategy, concept, and execution, then translate that thinking to teams
• Comfortable and confident in pitch environments; able to articulate creative thinking clearly
• Strong cultural awareness: able to identify and integrate cultural moments, references, and trends that elevate work
• Collaborative mindset: comfortable working in ambiguity and pushing back on ideas (including your own) when it serves the work
